About Us

Connie Winters

Established in 1960, Connie Winters’ Pet Resort is the most experienced yet the most up to date pet care provider in Indiana County. As a teenager, Connie Winters started to offer lodging for dogs in a small lodging area on the family farm. After graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) with a degree in biology, she expanded the business, with the original part of our current resort. The ongoing modernizing and expansion of the business has created a wonderful pet resort that is highly recommended by leading veterinarians.

Connie has been active as a charter member of the Pet Care Service Association, local Humane Groups, and served over 30 years as a 4-H leader. She has continued to work throughout the years to set very high standards of care and compassion for all pets in her care. Ongoing modernization and constant personal development have always been our priorities for the benefit of all clients and their furry family members.

Our staff is made up of individuals who also have a great love of pets and who have displayed a strong continued interest in pet care. All of our staff are trained and tested continually using in house PSCA educational training program instruction to assure the best care of your pet.

Connie also owns and manages Winterfield Farms, Inc. with the same philosophy, as a caring horse farm dedicated to teaching riding lessons and training hunter and jumper horses. Visit the farm web site at www.winterfieldfarms.net.
